Nintendo Switch has hidden attributes to replace Nvidia Shied

Tencent Digital (Liu Sha) Nintendo released the new game console Switch last week, and the time to market is March next year. Among the official videos, the most common ones are the features such as the free switching of their video game consoles/smartphones and the handles of the detachable combination. Others such as the system and the interface are less detailed.

However, we know that Switch will use the Nvidia Tegra processor and graphics card, and its performance is equivalent to the current Xbox One, and it can bring up to 1080P/60fps game screen. Therefore, there are some opinions that Switch will overlap with Nvidia's own game tablet Shield in some parts.

Downward game compatibility

Nvidia Shield uses Android platform, so it can easily run FC, SFC, N64 and other simulators. So, this means that Nintendo Switch can run games including GameCube, Wii, etc. from the performance perspective. It may use direct downward compatibility, perhaps in the form of an emulator. You know, resetting (refurbishing) games is a favorite for game makers.

Game screen recording and live

Sony PS4 and Microsoft Xbox One all support game screen recording function, which can record the contents of recent minutes during the game, and even directly broadcast to Twitch or YouTube. Nvidia Shield also supports similar features that enable one-click recording and sharing, as well as direct live streaming.

In addition, Nvidia currently has a GeForce Cloud Live service, which is very easy if Nintendo wants to implement similar features.

Multimedia features

Nvidia Shield also supports rich multimedia features such as watching movies, TV, 4K Netflix video services and more. Similarly, from a hardware perspective, Nintendo Switch will only be stronger and integrating the above services will not be a problem. Considering Switch’s positioning relative to adults and Nintendo's openness to third-party game makers, Switch may also integrate a large number of popular multimedia applications.
