WIFI wireless network technology and security research

With the rapid development and popularization of the Internet, especially the rapid increase of various portable communication devices and various household appliances, people have put forward higher requirements for short-distance communication services in the field of wireless communication. As a result, many short-range wireless communication technologies have emerged, and WIFI technology based on the 802.11b protocol is a hot spot. It is considered to be a new direction for the development of wireless broadband.

WIFI is an industry standard for wireless network communication defined by IEEE (IEEE 802.11). Can also be seen as a complement to 3G technology. Like Bluetooth technology, WIFI technology belongs to the same wireless LAN communication technology used in offices and homes. WIFI is a short-range wireless transmission technology that supports Internet access to radio signals over hundreds of feet. Its biggest advantage is that the transmission speed is high. In the case of weak signal or interference, the bandwidth can be adjusted, which effectively ensures the stability and reliability of the network. However, with the continuous expansion of wireless LAN application areas, its security issues have received more and more attention.

1 Introduction to WIFI Technology

1.1 WIFI technology

WIFI (WireleSS Fidelity), commonly known as wireless broadband, also known as 802.11b standard, is an industry standard defined by IEEE for wireless network communication. The IEEE 802.11b standard was developed on the basis of IEE E802.11. It operates in the 2.4 Hz band and has a maximum transmission rate of 11 Mbps. This technology is a technology that can wirelessly connect terminals such as personal computers and handheld devices. The goal is to improve interoperability between unlimited network products based on the IEEE 802.1 standard.

The essence of WIFI LAN is that it no longer uses a communication cable to connect the computer to the network, but connects wirelessly, which makes the construction of the network and the movement of the terminal more flexible.

1.2 Features of WIFI technology

1) Wide coverage of radio waves

Bluetooth-based radio coverage is very small, with a radius of only 15 m, and Wi-Fi has a radius of 300 m, making it suitable for use in offices and floor units.

2) Simple networking

The requirements for the establishment of WLAN on hardware devices are more concise and convenient than wired, and devices that currently support WLAN have been widely popularized in the market, between different brands of access points AP and customer network interfaces. Interoperability is achieved at the basic service level. WIAN's planning can be gradually expanded as the number of users increases, and a small number of points are initially arranged according to the needs of the user. As the number of users increases, only a few additional AP devices need to be added without rewiring. The global unified WIFI standard makes it different from cellular carrier technology. The same WIFI user can use wireless LAN services in various countries around the world.

3) Business integration

Since the WIFI technology is completely identical in structure to Ethernet, it is possible to integrate the WLAN into an existing broadband network, and also apply the existing broadband service to the WLAN. In this way, the existing broadband cable access resources can be utilized to rapidly deploy the WIAN network to form seamless coverage.

4) Fully open frequency usage segment

The ISM used by WLAN is a globally open frequency usage segment, allowing the user to freely use services in that band without any permission.

1.2 WIFI overall topology

The WIFI network structure is shown in Figure 1. It consists of an AP and a wireless network card. AP is generally called a network bridge or access point. It is used as a bridge between a traditional wired local area network and a wireless local area network. Therefore, any PC with a wireless network card can share the wired local area network through the AP. Even the resources of the wide area network work as a HUB or router with a built-in wireless transmitter, while the wireless network card is the CLJENT device responsible for receiving signals transmitted by the AP.

Rare Earth Aluminum Alloy Power Cable is kind of cable, in which the rare earth high iron aluminum alloy is used as conductor, flame-retardant organosilane cross-linked polyethylene is used as insulation and the self-locking armored structure is installed, has completely independent intellectual property rights and removed the defects of aluminum cable systematically. The environment-oriented insulation materials with low smoke, free halogen and being fire-retardant have greatly reduced risk of being on fire. This cable can installed in moist environment. The cables boasts large current carrying capacity and convenient and low cost installation and maintenance.
