According to incomplete statistics, 1,227 citizens participated in the survey. 79% of the public think that LED street lamps are energy efficient, 58% of the public think that they are environmentally friendly, 35% think that they have a longer life than ordinary high pressure sodium lamps, and 43% of the public think that color rendering is good. Compared with the yellow light of ordinary high-pressure sodium lamps, 94% of the public prefer LED white light, which is not glare, and is more clear to the visual object, and the lighting effect is good. In addition, 93% of the public support the promotion of “energy-saving and environmentally friendly LED lighting industryâ€.
It is reported that the country is vigorously promoting the development of energy-saving and environmentally-friendly LED lighting industry. Mianyang is one of the 21 LED street lighting demonstration cities in China. The relevant person in charge of the city's urban lighting department said that with the support of the public, about 25,000 LED street lights will be installed in the urban area in the next few years, gradually replacing some existing aging lighting facilities.
At present, the city's urban lighting department is working on a plan to promote LED urban lighting in large scale in urban areas.
