Aowei Consulting (AVC) believes that LED-backlit LCD TVs have grown rapidly in recent years for several reasons:
1. The new LED products listed in the first half of the year gradually entered the growth stage. As of August, LED new 171 new products, accounting for 39% of the listed models, the new product has entered the growth period after two months of introduction.
2, domestic brands of small and medium size products to help the market improve. LED-backlit LCD TV products have been dominated by large sizes of 40 inches and above. Recently, domestic brands have launched a series of products under 40 inches, which has strengthened the launch of small and medium-sized products. This week's data shows that domestic brands of LED-backlit LCDs account for 44.2% of LED backlight LCDs in small and medium-sized retails under 40 inches.
3. The sharp drop in prices stimulates the release of demand. The overall price of LED-backlit LCD TVs declined this week, down 5.5 percentage points from the previous week; prices of various sizes have declined to varying degrees, with 22, 40/42 and 46/47 being particularly noticeable, down 6.3%, 4.6%, 4.2 respectively. %. This week, LED and CCFL price ratios have narrowed to between 1.2 and 1.6.
Ovid Consulting analysts believe that according to the characteristics of color TV market holidays, with the arrival of various holidays in September and October, the LED market continues to heat up rapidly.
