According to the data of Gaogong LED Industry Research Institute (GLII), the scale of China's LED application industry reached 159 billion yuan in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 37%. Exports still account for an absolute proportion
According to relevant statistics, in 2011, the national export of various types of LED lamp bulbs was about 3.2 billion US dollars, and the export in the first three quarters of 2012 was 2.77 billion US dollars.

From the perspective of export regions, Europe and the United States are currently the main markets for domestic LED exports. Take Guangdong Province as an example. In 2011, the export sales of LED lamps in Guangdong exceeded 100 million yuan, of which exports to the United States and the European Union were about 22 billion yuan, accounting for about 2/3 of the export value of LED lamps in Guangdong, accounting for the total output value of LED lamps in Guangdong. 15%.

Southeast Asia, Russia become a new bright spot
Due to factors such as price, cost and technology, the current domestic LED lighting market is still developing slowly.

The domestic business of lighting companies mainly sells products through engineering channels and distribution channels. At present, the share of engineering channels accounts for a relatively large proportion, but the project market is limited after all, and the demand for LED indoor lighting market has not been significantly improved. Export has become an inevitable way out for many LED manufacturers.

In 2012, affected by the global economic slowdown, market demand in developed countries slowed down, while investment in infrastructure in emerging markets began to turn hot, and demand for LED products was higher. Emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Russia and Africa have become the new highlights of LED export companies.

“Since last year, orders in Southeast Asia have started to increase. At present, the company is further adjusting its export strategy, and will increase its focus on emerging markets such as Southeast Asia in the future.” Zhuang Sheng is full of confidence in the performance of Southeast Asia and other markets.

Ni Qiang told the reporter of "High-tech LED" that although the developed markets such as Europe and the United States are still the main markets for the export of Debon LED lighting products, the Asia-Pacific markets such as Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea have begun to become new hot spots, and the export ratio is also rising.

Industry insiders who focus on the export market said that in recent years, Southeast Asian countries have experienced rapid economic growth, large infrastructure investment, and bilateral trade agreements between China and ASEAN countries. LED products exported to these countries can enjoy low tariffs and even Zero tariff.

Among Southeast Asia and other regions, Russia is the country with the fastest growing demand for indoor lighting.

Statistics show that the local market has the largest demand for LED tubes and LED bulbs, followed by downlights. The Russian economy is gradually recovering, and the awareness of local consumers on energy conservation and emission reduction is gradually strengthening. The demand for LED indoor lighting will show a rapid growth trend in the future.

The reporter checked the relevant information and noticed that at present, Thailand is carrying out LED lighting projects, and the demand for LEDs has increased. Domestic LED companies can enjoy zero tariffs when they export to Thailand as long as they obtain Chinese certificate of origin. The National Urban Development Plan for 2011-2020 published by Vietnam shows that the national urbanization level is expected to reach 38% in 2015, which will also become a new hope for the export of LED lighting products.
