AMD Debuts Ultrathin Notebook Series for the First Time

Lisa Su, senior vice president and general manager of AMD's global business unit, announced at a recent financial analysis conference an ultra-thin notebook series called "Ultrathin." At the same time, Lisa showed a prototype from Compal.

For this prototype, AMD revealed that it will carry the upcoming Trinity APU quad-core processor. At the same time, its graphics processing capabilities exceed the competition by 50%. The thickness of the machine is about 18mm.

More importantly, the price of Ultrathin products will be stable at 600-800 US dollars, equivalent to not more than 5,000 yuan. This will pose a great threat to competitors.
