[High-tech LED News] Recently, Panasonic has launched the world's first LED bulb using transparent glass as a lampshade. The shape of the bulb is the same as that of a traditional incandescent lamp, using a single filament, with a power of 4.4 watts and a lifespan of up to 40,000 hours.
Panasonic claims that this LED light will instantly reach full brightness when it is under the switch, and can withstand more than 100,000 uninterrupted switches. It is ideal for use in stairwells or toilets where instant switching lights are required.
Matsushita pointed out that the LED bulb can maintain 70% brightness even when it is near the end of its life. Panasonic also won the gold medal in this year's Japan Good Design Award for this LED bulb.
