Many people believe that QLED and OLED TVs represent the pinnacle of high-end color TV technology, and they are considered the future of television innovation. However, I don't agree entirely, as another category of premium large-screen TVs exists: laser TVs. These devices make it easier for the average consumer to enjoy a massive, high-definition viewing experience.
For instance, both QLED and OLED TVs face challenges when it comes to larger screen sizes. Their production becomes increasingly complex and costly. A Sony 100-inch LCD TV can cost over 500,000 yuan, while a LeTV 120-inch model reaches an astonishing 419 million coins. Even LG's 77-inch OLED TV retails at nearly 200,000 yuan.
In contrast, laser TVs offer a more affordable alternative. Prices for screens measuring hundreds of inches often fall within the tens of thousands of yuan, with some models available for under 10,000 yuan. Recently, Xiaomi, a popular internet brand, launched a 150-inch laser TV priced at just 9,999 yuan, causing a significant stir in the industry.
Hisense, another major player in this segment, has long been dedicated to advancing the domestic laser TV market. They've not only delivered numerous high-quality laser TV products but were also the first to introduce 4K laser TV models.
Technically speaking, laser TVs excel in several areas. The laser light source significantly boosts screen brightness, offering superior monochromaticity that allows for more vivid colors compared to OLED screens, with a NTSC color gamut that can reach up to 110%.
Additionally, laser TVs consume far less energy than traditional TVs, and their lifespan far exceeds that of regular projectors or average TVs. Their ultra-short throw projection feature means they require minimal space—only around half a meter of distance—to project screens larger than 100 inches, making them highly convenient for everyday use.
With these advantages and ongoing advancements in technology, along with efforts from companies like Hisense and Xiaomi, laser TVs are poised to gain popularity in the large-screen TV market. As more internet brands join this trend, the future of laser TVs looks promising. For updates on smart TVs and boxes, visit Sofa Butler, a leading Chinese website for TV box and smart TV information.
