Low-carbon economy for energy-saving lighting

Compared with traditional lighting equipment, LED solid-state lighting has energy saving, high luminous efficiency, strong stability and long life of 15 years. As a next-generation lighting technology, LED has many advantages, but Yin Yi believes that for the moment, the application of LED full commercialization is not mature, mainly cost, and most users are very sensitive to price. For example, even if the energy-saving lamps subsidize 50%, consumers only need to buy five or six dollars, but many people are willing to spend 2 dollars to buy incandescent lamps, not to mention dozens of hundreds of LED lights.
But the government’s determination to promote LED has been set. At present, the Guangzhou Municipal Government has allocated 20 million funds to support the promotion and utilization of the LED lighting industry. It is reported that before the 2010 Asian Games, Guangzhou will complete the LED energy-saving renovation of 40,000 existing street lamps, and install a number of LED street lights, making the city's LED street lights more than 50,000.
