1. Upon receiving a power outage notice, the electrician should disconnect the relevant knife switch and remove the fuse. At the same time, lock the operating handle, hang a warning sign, and place a protective cover around any equipment that remains energized.
2. Before starting work, a thorough inspection must be conducted after high and low voltage power outages.
3. When using a high-voltage voltage detector, ensure it matches the voltage level of the equipment being tested. Always wear high-voltage insulated gloves that have been tested and approved. First, test the detector on live equipment to confirm it works properly before using it for actual testing.
4. Electricity inspections should be carried out on both sides of the incoming and outgoing lines of the construction equipment. For outdoor power distribution equipment, inspections should only be performed in dry weather conditions.
5. After confirming there is no voltage, grounding the construction equipment and short-circuiting all three phases is a fundamental and reliable safety measure to prevent unexpected power surges and protect workers.
6. Grounding wires should be installed in all possible directions where power could be transmitted to the construction equipment. For dual-circuit power supply systems, when repairing busbar switches, isolating switches, or load switches, both busbar circuit breakers must be opened simultaneously, and grounding wires should be connected to both ends of the construction knife switch at the same time.
7. Always install the grounding wire first, then connect it. When removing the grounding wire, reverse the process: disconnect it first, then remove the wire.
8. The grounding wire should be placed in a location where staff can always see it. A "Work in Progress" warning sign should be hung near the grounding wire. The work supervisor must continuously check that the grounding wire remains intact and undisturbed.
9. It is especially important to ensure that all switches related to the construction equipment are completely turned off. The knife switch or isolating switch must be opened to create a clear disconnection point in all directions. It is strictly prohibited to rely solely on an oil circuit breaker for isolation. While working on equipment, always be aware of the possibility of reverse power transmission from the low-voltage side through the transformer's high-voltage side. Therefore, transformers associated with the construction equipment must be disconnected from both high-voltage sides.
10. If work is paused during the process, all safety measures must be rechecked before resuming. Only after confirming everything is safe should work restart. When leaving the site, make sure the room is locked and that outdoor areas are properly guarded.
