I took over a 40-inch TCL LCD TV model L40F19FBE. The customer mentioned that if the repair cost exceeds 200 yuan, they don't want to proceed. (You sure about that?) I booted it up and saw a white screen with some characters on it, as shown below:
I opened the back cover and directly went to the mainboard. Using the touch Dafa method, I found two chips—ISL24016IRTZ and ISL24837IRZ—were extremely hot. Since the customer said they wouldn’t pay more than 200 yuan, I decided to quote 600 yuan. But then the user surprised me by saying: "Hey... If it can be fixed for 600, I still want to try." (Who is this person?)
A few days later, the chips arrived. Time to get started! I brought out the soldering station.
I applied solder paste, aligned the pins, set the temperature to 350°C, air volume to 2, and blew gently to avoid air soldering. To prevent the chip from moving, I used a piece of copper wire to hold the pins in place.
I repeated the same process for the second chip. Then I cleaned the board with water. Oh my god! It looked great!
When the moment came... I connected everything, powered it up, and tested it. Perfect! ! ! ! !
