How to set the gearbox ratio in the 6SE70 inverter - News - Global IC Trade Starts Here.

There has been a change in the gear ratio of the motor's gearbox, from 2.33 to 2.8. This naturally raises the question: do we need to adjust the gear ratio setting in the inverter parameters? I checked the parameter "gearratio" under U802 in the vector encyclopedia, but found that our inverters are all set to the value "30". It seems this parameter is not being used at all. So, I'm not sure if it was ever configured or if it's even relevant here. The PLC controls the inverter by sending commands such as the main control word and speed reference. If the system is operating in speed control mode, the motor's rotational speed is determined by the speed reference provided by the PLC. However, the actual speed will also be affected by the reduction ratio of the gearbox, which has now changed from 2.33 to 2.8. If the PLC's setpoint remains unchanged, the final output speed will be incorrect. Therefore, the speed reference value must be adjusted accordingly. This can either be done through the PLC program modification or by updating the inverter parameter P444 with the new ratio (2.33 / 2.8). It's important to ensure that both the PLC and inverter settings are aligned with the updated mechanical configuration to maintain accurate speed control.
