Setting of System Variables Related to Drawing Mechanical Drawing with Chinese Version ACAD2000

In the Chinese version of ACAD2000, the graphic template files are saved in * .DWT files. The default file is \ Program Files \ ACAD2000 \ Template \ ACADISO.DWT. Because its model files are set according to international standards. When using ACAD2000 to draw a mechanical drawing, the line style, font, dimension, etc. are all different from China's national standard. The relevant system variables need to be reconfigured to suit our national standards. The configuration of system variables related to national standard drawing is not described in detail in the general ACAD2000 manual, which causes inconvenience to users. The following describes how to use the Chinese version of ACAD2000 to draw mechanical drawings to set the relevant system variables, and the method of proportional drawing. Applicable to the currently popular pure Chinese version and Chinese version ACAD2000.
1 Modify the line file acad.lin
Select "My Computer" from the desktop to open the file "c: \ program files \ ACAD2000 \ support \ acadiso.lin" and find the following line (dotted line);
* CENTER, Center ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____ _ ____

Save and exit (save in the original directory)
Note; the file ACADISO.LIN listed above is in the default directory when installing AutoCAD. If you change the installation directory when installing AutoCAD, you need to find this file in the relevant directory. When changing the number in the file, you cannot add spaces at will.
2 Create layers, line types and colors Layers are an important feature in AutoCAD. The layer itself is not visible. The layer can be understood as transparent paper, and the different contents of the graphics can be drawn on different transparent papers, and finally the transparent paper is superimposed together to form a complete graphic. Each layer can be set with different line types and colors, and can be set to open or close, freeze or unfreeze, lock or unlock, etc. In order to make the drawn graphics easy to identify and communicate, the national standard GB / T14665-93 "Rules for drawing computer information exchange for mechanical drawing" specifies the layer, line type, and color in detail. For general drawing of mechanical drawings, it is recommended to configure according to Table 1.
In the "Format" menu, select "Layer" to open the dialog box shown in Figure 1. Set the layer name, line style, and color as shown in the dialog box. When selecting the line type, load the corresponding line type modified in ACADISO.LIN. For the format below A3, the line width of the thick solid line is set to 0.7mm (if the line width setting of the needle printer is 0.4mm), the remaining line width is 0.25mm. For formats above A3, the thick solid line width is set to 1.0 mm, and the remaining line width is 0.35 mm.

3 Set the Chinese and Western fonts in the Chinese version of ACAD2000 comes with the national standard Western and Chinese character files gbeitc.shx, gbeitc.shx.
Select "Format" "Text Style" from the drop-down menu to enter the dialog box shown in Figure 2.
In the "Font" item, enable "Use large font", select "gbeitc.shx" for the "SHX font" item, and select "gbcbig.shx" for the "large font" item. Use the default values for "Height" and "Width Ratio". There will be no inconsistency in word height or misalignment in the Chinese and Western fonts of peers written in this Chinese and Western font.
4 Set the dimensioning style, select "marking" and "style" from the drop-down menu, enter the "Dimensioning Style Manager" dialog box, select "Modify" to enter the "Modify Dimensioning Style" dialog box, and set the "Line and Arrow" item to Figure 3 As shown.
Figure 3 Set the "Text" item as shown in Figure 4.
Figure 4 Set the "Precision" in the "Main Unit" item to 0.
5 Draw the frame and title bar at a 1: 1 ratio. Select “Format” and “Graph Range” from the drop-down menu. Set the option “ON / OFF” to “ON” (prohibit drawing lines outside the graph limit). Repeat this command to change The lower left corner is set to "0, 0" and the upper right corner is "L, B". The L and B values are filled in according to Table 2 (the size of the bound frame is given in the table, where a is the distance between the left frame and the left boundary line, and c is the distance between the other three frame lines and the boundary line), for example: A3 format L = 420, B = 297. After setting, use the "ZOOM" command and type "ALL" to display the workspace.

Use 2 layers of thin solid lines to press L and B to draw the paper boundary lines, and 1 layer of thick solid lines to draw the frame lines.
Draw the national standard title bar as shown in Figure 5.
6 Save the template file. Use the above method to draw a 1: 1 ratio A0 to A4 format template file with frame and title bar. And save the graphics separately (save as DWG files), the file names are A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, and then open the corresponding picture frame each time you draw a new picture, use this picture as a template file to start drawing new Figure, and another name to save.
7 Set the drawing scale The above is a 1: 1 scale A0-A4 drawing template file. If you draw at a ratio other than 1: 1, you can draw according to the actual size by setting system variables related to the scale.
The following uses the 1: 5 scale drawing in the A3 picture as an example to explain the setting steps of the system variables.
(1) First expand the graphics range by 5 times (the range of the A3 frame is changed from 420X297 to 2100X1485), use the "SCALE" command to enlarge the frame and title bar by "0, 0" as the base point 5 times.
(2) Change the line type scale factor, select "format" "line type" "display details" "global scale factor" to 5.
(3) Change the overall scale of the size, select "marking", "style", "modify", "adjust", "use global scale" to 5.
(4) When writing text, the height of the word is equal to the actual height multiplied by 5. For example, to write the 5th character, the character height should be 5X5 = 25.
8 When printing, you need to set the "Print Device" and "Print Settings".
Select "File" "Print" "Printing Device" "Name" to select the connected printer (or plotter).
Select "File" "Print" "Print Settings" "Paper Size" to select the drawing number (for example, A3). "Print ratio" "custom" changed to 1 mm = 5 graphic units.
Try to use the "full preview" function before printing to see if the frame is displayed completely. Generally, when the "print area" selects "limit", "range" or "display", the frame lines cannot be fully displayed (because each printer cannot print the full content in the same specification drawing) . Therefore, you can use the "window" method to select two points outside the diagonal points of the frame to determine the printing area, which can be completely displayed (printed).
