Data show that in the first quarter of this year, the wind power output from the Mengdong region reached 475 million kilowatt-hours, which accounted for 40% of the wind power output from the Northeast region.

The Mengdong region is one of the eight million-kilowatt wind power bases planned by the state. According to the plan, the State Grid Corporation of China will establish a 500 kilovolt power transmission project from Tongliao Horqin to Liaoning Xinmin, and a 500 kilovolt power transmission project from Fuxin Bahrain to Liaoning Fuxin during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period. Plan and construct Hulunbeier to Shandong UHV DC project to realize wind power and thermal power “bundling” delivery, with the ability to deliver 4 million kilowatts of wind power.
