The rating of the frequency converter is mostly marked on its nameplate, including the rating on the input side and the rating on the output side.

(1) Rating on the input side.

The rating on the input side is mainly the voltage and the number of phases. The input voltage of the small and medium capacity inverter is rated as follows (all line voltages):

1380V/50Hz, three-phase, used in most equipment.

2200 ~ 230V / 50Hz or 60Hz, three-phase, mainly used in some imported equipment.

3200 ~ 230V / 50Hz, single phase, mainly used in small capacity equipment and household appliances (2) rated value on the output side.

1 rated output voltage UN.

The rated output voltage is the maximum value of the inverter output voltage.

In most cases, it is the output voltage value when the output frequency is equal to the rated frequency of the motor. Typically, the rated output voltage is always equal to the nominal value of the input voltage.

2 rated output current IN.

The rated output current is the effective value of the maximum AC current that the inverter can continuously output. It is the main basis for the user to select the inverter.

3 output capacity SN (kVA).

The output capacity of the inverter is determined by the three-phase apparent output power of the rated output current and the rated output voltage. The relationship between SN and UN and IN is:

4Applicable to motor power PN (kW). Applicable motor power refers to a 4-pole standard motor that represents the motor power that can be driven within the rated output current.

5 overload capability.

Overload capability refers to the allowable range and time when the output current exceeds the rated current. Most inverters are specified as 150% IN, 60s or 180% IN, 0.5s. The inverters specially used for fan and pump load speed regulation are specified as 120% IN and 60s.
