3 Implementation There are many ways to realize the midnight light, and the methods vary greatly. Some methods are highly targeted and have limited limitations, while others have a wider range of adaptability. Below, the author only introduces the midnight light of the low-voltage three-phase power supply street lamp system.

We believe here that each base lamp is only connected to one phase power supply, and the base lights on the line are connected to three-phase power.

3.1 Turn off one side street light This is the easiest and most convenient way to use it. It does not need any investment. It only needs to control the AC contactor of the corresponding circuit through the time controller or the installed street light three remote system. You can turn off the power. However, this method only works well for roads that are not too wide and adopts staggered lighting. For wide roads, the illumination on the side of the lights is too low, and the longitudinal uniformity of the central fast lane is seriously deteriorated, which affects driving. For the three roads, the sidelights on the side of the lights are lower, which affects the safety of pedestrians.

3.2 Turn off part of the street light For the shortcomings of the first method, another alternative method can be used to turn off each side of the street light to ensure that the uniformity is not reduced too much. The specific method is as follows: the opposite arrangement of the street lamp to turn off part of the phase of the power supply in the distribution box using the contactor to control different phases, see, one side lamp off phase C, the other side lamp off A, B phase, which is reduced by half The load, while maintaining considerable uniformity, although the three phases of each line are unbalanced, the total three-phase load remains balanced. The main disadvantage of this method is that the voltage drop of the line is too large due to the single-phase power supply of the C-phase of one side lamp. In the case of a large power supply distance, the three-phase power supply can work normally, and the single-phase power supply may not be able to normally light up, because the voltage is low, and the life of the light source is affected at the same time. Another method is to use dual-source streetlights on wide roads and turn off the lights below at midnight. This way, the investment in the luminaire is higher, but the effect of normal lighting and midnight light illumination is very good. If the accessory for the regular lighting of the street light can be developed, the investment of the second cable can be saved.

Adding a line will increase the investment accordingly, but since the two lines are laid in the same trench, the labor cost will not increase much. At the same time, the load of each line will be reduced, the cable diameter can be reduced by one level, and the investment growth can still be saved within one year. 3.3 Adopting new energy-saving ballasts In recent years, some regions have begun to adopt high-pressure sodium lamp ballasts that can perform power conversion to save energy. The ballast is a time prefabricated energy-saving magnetic ballast, which is usually in the rated power state, but the ballast automatically changes when the vehicle is scarce at midnight, so that the lamp can run at 60% of the rated power, achieving energy saving. purpose. This type of ballast was first produced by GE in the United States, but it is expensive.

In recent years, under the guidance of the National Green Lighting Office, it was first successfully developed and put into mass production by the Institute of Electric Light Sources of Fudan University, and the number of manufacturers has gradually increased. The product switches the ballast power by electronic control or power switch, which reduces the input power by 40% without reducing the life of the lamp, and the output luminous flux of the lamp is only reduced by 30%, and the product performance can be improved and the price is low.
