Compared with the 08th edition of the "Air Purifier" national standard, this revision further improves the evaluation of air purifiers in two basic technical indicators: normal and long-term performance indicators. The normality index, ie, "clean air volume," refers to the air purification device's "ability to provide clean air under rated conditions and specified test conditions," which is the ability to purify target pollutants (particles and gaseous pollutants). Long-term performance index, ie "accumulated purification amount", refers to the total amount of target pollutants that are cumulatively removed when the "clean air volume" decays to half of the initial value during the continuous operation of the air purifier. The most important of these is the normative indicator. What users are most concerned about is their ability to purify air.

The new index of air-to-ground cleanliness will be used to standardize the air-cleaning new-age normality index. “Clean air volume” is used as the core indicator of product labeling, and parameter descriptions or derivation algorithms such as “applicable area” and “useful life” are added to facilitate consumers. The identification also regulates other information that should be stated in the product labeling, such as product use, filter material replacement (cleaning), routine maintenance, etc. In addition, the air purifier's noise, energy efficiency rating, and other indicators have also been improved, and the experimental methods for the air purifier's ability to remove various types of target pollutants have been improved.
