Ai Siqiang layout OLED equipment to increase market penetration

It is reported that AIXTRON SE has put into operation a new R&D clustering device that can display the core process for producing organic semiconductors. The production of OLEDs and flexible electronic components requires organic thin films. Deposition of a variety of different processes, and this clustering equipment will help to effectively demonstrate the relevant production processes under industrial manufacturing conditions.

The clustering equipment has been installed in AIXTRON's clean room, including several process modules for the deposition of organic materials on 200x200mm2 substrates ("Gen1 Generation"). This specification helps AIXTRON demonstrate its deposition technology advantages to potential customers at the component level, within the limits of cost and layout. At the heart of the display is AIXTRON's three OVPD® (organic vapor deposition) modules and a PVPDTM (polymer vapor deposition) module. These modules are embedded in an automated clustering environment and are supplemented by multiple processing modules and related infrastructure.

Juergen Kreis, Director of Business Development, AIXTRON, the organic semiconductor division, explains: “Our R&D clustering equipment will provide industrial customers and research partners with an integrated environment that demonstrates a wide range of processes at the component level. Perfect integration of pre- and post-production The production process, as well as the eigenvalue extensibility of further test components, will quickly and comprehensively demonstrate the specific benefits offered by our core technologies, Organic Vapor Deposition® and PVPDTM."

AIXTRON CEO Martin Goetzeler said: "Organic semiconductors have great strategic significance for AIXTRON. OLEDs have the potential to be widely used in displays and general lighting applications in the future. Therefore, we have already made significant contributions. Increase investment in this area (such as investment in R&D cluster equipment) and accelerate R&D. In this way, we are able to meet the broad needs of our customers to improve testing and display possibilities, especially to help our customers make the future. Investment decisions. I firmly believe that our organic semiconductor production systems will play a key role in the future market."

AIXTRON's proprietary Organic Vapor Deposition® and PVPDTM process technologies produce high quality organic films with high material efficiency and high deposition rates for OLED OLEDs, organic electronics and other functional components. High-efficiency, large-scale production of organic thin films is seen as the key to further increasing the market penetration of OLEDs.
