The client of this project required an innovative approach to retrofit existing limited storage space with limited engineering budgets to allow limited natural light to shine along the wall.
LOHA reuses the previously closed roof and opens it to get the best natural daylight with the new oversized patio. A series of public work areas and lounges occupy the space under the patio and create visual points of interest in response to customer requests to accommodate more casual gatherings, discussions and breaks.
In order to meet strict budget parameters, the lounge is equipped with recycled wood, painted in vibrant colors, and surrounded by a series of platforms. Repetitive natural and simple detailing keeps it on the budget track, while unique application features allow for the creation of dynamic spaces.
